About Krina

Krina is a painter, working and living in East London. As a self-taught artist, she derives influence from the greats, from Auerbach and Freud to Bacon.
Her practice explores the figure and landscapes through expressive mark making, vibrant colours and textures.
Her journey in representing form evolves from traditional representation of forms to tactile abstract, often to the point where it is lost entirely.
She is currently exploring the themes of fragility and traditional beauty norms in her work with reference to marginalised communities.
Krina has lived and worked in Germany, Japan and Vietnam.
Commissions can be arranged on request.
